Smiling person with long hair, wearing a brown patterned top, leaning forward in a bright, minimalistic room. Abstract art on the wall and books stacked on a table.
A woman in a colorful dress carrying two pillows walks past a modern white counter with wooden drawers. The wall behind her features four vibrant, tropical-themed paintings with palm trees and flora. The floor is made of polished wood.

Hi, I’m Shaolin

Born into an interior design-construction family, Shaolin is third generation, on both sides, in the industry. She spent her childhood playing in construction zones, painting walls and eventually decorating her own homes - interior design has been embedded in her DNA.

After graduating from high school in Honolulu, she left for a year abroad in London and finished her degree in Public Relations at the University of Florida. After experiencing life in San Francisco and New York City, as a freelance Event Producer, Shaolin was exposed and positively impacted by a variety of design tastes, styles, and aesthetics. Merging her lifetime love of event planning and interior design, she started Studio Shaolin in 2020, with an idea to have interiors reflect the people who inhabit them.

Drawing inspiration from her travels, she reached 30 countries by her 30th birthday, she can appreciate every aesthetic. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Hawaii, Shaolin focuses on sustainable, holistic design that has a lived-in, comfortable style, with an elevated twist.

Her work and expertise has been featured on KHON2 News, Modern Luxury Hawaii magazine, Midweek Hawaii, Honolulu Magazine, Sunset Magazine, and many other publications.

Feel free to shop the Studio Shaolin aesthetic online at WOVEN by Shaolin.
